A fraudster may contact you regarding a problem with your bank. They could request that you transfer funds, withdraw funds & meet to hand them over for 'safekeeping' (& tell you to lie to bank staff about it), to post your cards & details off or many other ways of taking control of your funds.

It is important to remember that most banks will never cold call you or ask for account details over the phone. If you are in any doubt as to the legitimacy of a contact, it is recommended that you visit a local branch or the banks website for more information or to access definitely correct contact details & contact them via a different device, rather than trusting details given by potential fraudsters.
