96% of businesses have changed their cyber security in response to covid-19, a survey has found

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

A report published by PwC found that 96% of respondents said their business had adapted their cyber security strategy because of the pandemic.

This may come as business owners recognise the increased risk of cyber security threats and breaches as they and their employees work from home. With more activity online and potentially less protection on private rather than company networks and devices, there is more of a need than ever to put precautions in place.

An additional 50% of survey respondents said they would consider cyber security in every business decision. With many trading online in the current lockdown, online protection needs to be factored in to the majority of processes.
