Business leaders see cyber security as ongoing concerns, PWC survey shows

PWC’s Annual Global CEO survey has highlighted that cyber security is an issue of high importance for business leaders around the world.

Almost 50% of CEOs surveyed expressed extreme concern about the threat of cyber security to their organisation, an increase of 14% compared to 2020. Worldwide, this ranks as the second most concerning threat after the pandemic. Among CEOs in North America and Western Europe, it was the top threat.

As we’ve previously reported, criminals have taken advantage of increased homeworking where vigilance may be lower and exploited public health communications by creating scams based on vaccine invitations.

We recently shared the story of how a manufacturing company in Oslo was barely able to function after hackers took over their computers.

With the world reopening, having reliable precautions in place will be key to getting back on track.
