Cyber security alert issued by UK, US and Australia

In a show of co-operation, three global powers have joined forces to issue a joint cyber security advisory covering vulnerabilities and the latest online threats that companies should be on the lookout for.

The advisory, which came from four agencies across the three countries - the NCSC (UK); the FBI and CISA (US); and the ACSC (Australia), issues a stark warning to those who think that they are too big and well protected, or too small to become targets of cyber criminals, stating, “Cyber actors continue to exploit publicly known—and often dated—software vulnerabilities against broad target sets, including public and private sector organisations worldwide. It’s recommended that organisations apply the available patches for the 30 vulnerabilities listed in the joint cybersecurity advisory and implement a centralised patch management system.”
