For someone who depends on the knowledge of others in respect of what we need for IT security, it was a fantastic opportunity to have someone else rooting round our systems in a non-threatening way. I feel very fortunate to be offered that opportunity by NEBRC and only wish it could be extended to more owners of small care homes who must struggle as I do to spread themselves across all aspects of care home life without the ability to employ specialist to provide them with the in-depth knowledge they need to ensure a high standard of safety in all aspects of care delivery. Thank you NEBRC so much for your help, expertise and extremely useful report. We have implemented all that you suggested and feel much more cyber secure!

The training course was thorough and engaging, complemented by the a very knowledgeable trainer. Martin's course, in particular, was highly informative, incorporating real-life scenarios that encouraged us to reflect on our own working practices. He made sure everyone felt included and their opinions were valued.

Tindles had the privilege of hosting Martin from NEBRC at the Tees Valley General Practitioners Group of which our Senior Partner, Rob Tindle, is the Chair. The insights into the current landscape of cybersecurity threats were eye-opening and thought provoking. Martin effectively communicated practical strategies and best practices for safeguarding businesses. Attendees at the event benefited greatly from his expertise. Thank you for an informative and engaging presentation!

The Centre really fills the gap in missing expertise for so many organisations like us. I worked with Joe to make our emails and domain more secure with some real technical stuff. Joe was brilliant and made it all look so easy (it wasn't!) Half of the battle is finding reputable organisations to help with really complex IT issues without making yourself vulnerable to shady organisations. Nice to see a non profit working closely with the police and the NHS. Yes this is a safe one! Long may it continue.

As a small business owner, I have attended a number of events that cover important topics related to cybersecurity, information management and fraud prevention. Each topic is covered by an external specialist in the field, so we get not just detailed information, but up to date information of the current threat landscape. I also get the newsletter which is helpful to keep abreast of situations arising.

We have worked with NEBRC for a number of years and their support has been amazing. They have tailored their approach to meet our needs (education) which has been very much appreciated. The training packages they offer are excellent and well delivered giving staff food for thought and allowing us to use theses sessions as a springboard for developing our own training. I can not recommend NEBRC enough especially if you are a small business unsure of how to start on your cyber security journey.

Cross Gates Good Neighbours is an older people’s charity in East Leeds with more than 1,400 members. We work with and for older people to reduce loneliness and isolation, support independence, promote healthy lifestyles and help them try new things. Data security and protection are universal requirements, but this presents a challenge for smaller charities like ours. We have an NHSmail address and, to comply with NHS audit requirements, we asked the North East Business Resilience Centre to conduct vulnerability testing of our internet, database and email. NEBRC worked with us with great professionalism over two sessions and delivered two comprehensive reports to a tight deadline, enabling us to meet our obligations and maintain our NHSmail.
