Leading UK Roofing Firm Falls Victim to Major Cyber Attack

Eurocell, a leading PVC-U roofing products manufacturer and distributor, has suffered a major cyber attack in the past few days that led to a third-party gaining access to confidential data.

It has been reported that employees were contacted by the firm to inform them that data belonging to employees – including contracts, personal information, bank details, and other confidential information – had been accessed by hackers and copied from IT systems.

An investigation is currently underway and legal representatives for victims of the data breach are concerned that the data may be sold on the dark web.

It’s unclear how the cyber criminals gained access to Eurocell’s systems, but the firm has claimed that “there is currently no evidence of the data being misused.”
