📢 Witness a live cyber-attack simulation and hear from the experts on what you can do to both respond to a cyber incident and protect yourself.
📆 Wednesday 21st June 2023 at 10:45 – 13:00
📍 C4DI Queen Street Kingston upon Hull HU1 1UU
About this event:
Join us in person for a unique cyber security event where a team of cyber security experts from C4DI will take you through a live attack simulation, providing you with a first-hand experience of what it’s like to be targeted by cyber criminals. Experts from our Cyber Essentials Partner Group, cyber security consultancy Punk Security will showcase attack methods and techniques used by cyber criminals to compromise systems and steal sensitive data.
Following the attack demonstration, the team will share real-life incidents they have responded to, detailing how they responded to them and the steps they took to mitigate the damage. They will also provide valuable insights into how you can build in preventative measures at each level and discuss the importance of having a solid incident response plan.
Small businesses often do not consider themselves to be a likely target, however in the last year, two in five UK businesses suffered some form of cyber-attack. All businesses use some form of technology to carry out operations, and our aim is to increase organisational awareness of these issues. At this event, our very own DI Steve Leach from the NEBRC will help you to increase your understanding of cyber security and outline the steps you can take to protect your all-important data. He will also cover how the NEBRC can support you on this journey.
From Punk Security, we have speakers (and hackers!) Daniel Oates-Lee and Simon Gurney.
Punk Security is an award-winning DevSecOps Cyber Security consultancy that provides a number of services including penetration testing, architecture reviews, vCISO, incident response, phishing campaigns, integrated team resource provision and more.
