New research from CSI Ltd has revealed that 93% of cyber security professionals are being kept awake at night worrying about security issues within their business.

Additionally, the finders indicate that 78% of cyber decision-makers are concerned that the cost of living crisis will increase the risk of a cyber attack within their organisation.

Stress about cyber security from experts was linked to the lack of security skills within the workplace (30%), limited IT resources (29%), and outdated IT infrastructure (27%).

Threat actors may take advantage of the cost of living crisis as they understand that businesses may be increasingly vulnerable due to the lack of resources available for cyber security.

Employees may lack relevant security training that allows them to recognise malicious emails, and software updates may take a backseat.

To stay safe, ensure that your business has a reliable backup in place if a cyber security breach is successful, and invest time into security awareness training for all staff.
