Keep Children Safe Online

As we start the new school term, we want to support families to stay safe and act responsibly when using technology at home.

The Internet Matters website offers comprehensive interactive guides with step-by-step instructions for setting parental controls on various home devices, alongside a host of advice to help children get the most out of their digital world. Internet Matters is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making the internet a safer place. Launched in 2014, the organisation works to provide access to free advice, based on three core objectives: to help families learn about e-safety; to give families information about setting and using network filters; and to encourage families to talk about internet safety.

The Internet Matters website also provides advice on various online safety issues including screen time; cyberbullying; privacy; inappropriate content and online reputation. In addition, the website provides access to parent stories, enabling families to get tips and understanding from real experiences.
